All Make-a-Friend furniture and wooden toys are handcrafted by Amish woodworkers from Lancaster County. Each wooden piece has been crafted from top grade pine and finished with a Golden Oak stain. Perfectly sized for your new friend, these durable, high quality pieces will bring many years of enjoyment for play or as wonderful accent pieces in your home.

Friend Sized Quilt
Price: $16.50
Quilts play an important role in the culture of Amish people. From the time children are young they help cut and piece together quilt squares in various patterns. The skilled hand of an older woman in the family will then sew the squares together to form the quilt top. Children again participate by stitching simple knot stitches to the quilt top, batting and bottom layer. The Sunshine and Shadow pattern on our Friendship Quilts shows diamond patters of dark (shadow) material alternating with light (sunshine) colored materials. A needle, quilting floss and instructions are included with each Friendship Quilt so if you would like, you can try your hand at knot stitching too!
